Shocker vs Wolverine
submitted by symposium52
Herman Schultz is one of the most underrated of Spider-man’s villains. His goofy grandma’s quilt costume and self-conscious persona make him seem like a low-life thug, but after a few upgrades it becomes increasingly clear that he is a super-villain worthy of respect, but Wolverine isn’t known for being so generous. His indestructible claws and unmatched resilience are going to play a huge role on his part.
As a very competent engineer, Schultz created his signature gauntlets that can blast extremely high pressure air vibrations, capable of shattering concrete and blasting even superhumans out the game. As he further refined his tech, he also created a means of creating a vibrational force field around his suit, greatly protecting him from physical harm from even bullets and making it almost impossible to grapple with him. It doesn’t take much imagination to assume he could keep Logan at bay from a distance, picking him off much like Cyclops does so often, and could very conceivably end the fight before Wolverine laid a claw on him. But what if the Wolverine managed to get his hands on Shocker? Would Shocker’s force field hold? Herman has taken bullets before, but nothing on par with the likes of Wolverine’s adamantium claws. Sure, he could use his omnidirectional force field repulsor to send Logan flying, but that blast is much weaker than what his gauntlets produce, and Wolverine has shrugged off harder blows.
Now I don’t believe Herman has the means to truly kill Logan, thanks to his healing factor, but I also don’t think that Logan would manage to get his hands on the villain, and he would definitely get KO’d by his devastating blasts, not to mention the force-field that may be what keeps the quilted killer on top of this match.
