Beta Ray Bill vs Sinestro
Sinestro was known to be the most proficient of the Green Lantern Corps; his constructs were the most powerful of the wielders before he was gifted with the yellow ring of power by Parallax.
His proficiency with the new ring of power is even greater than when he was a Green Lantern and his mastery over fear has given him a slew of new powers as well, making him an almost cosmic threat, even without his Sinestro Corps at his back.
But Beta Ray Bill isn’t new to threats of that magnitude. Created by Korbinite scientists to be the ultimate warrior and guardian of his people, Beta Ray was a force to be reckoned with…and that wasbefore he picked up Mjolnir. After defeating Thor in combat, Bill was proven worthy of wielding Mjolnir, but chose not to part Thor from the enchanted hammer. In it’s stead, Odin had a second hammer made: Stormbreaker, giving Beta Ray Bill power equal to that of Thor.
Sinestro may be one of the most powerful beings ever to wield a ring of power, capable of taking on armies single-handedly, but Beta Ray Bill is in a class of his own. His vast power landed him among the ranks of Marvel’s elite: the Annihilators, accompanied by the likes of Silver Surfer, Nova, and Gladiator, among others. But it’s his most recent adventure that truly shows how powerful he is. Unlike his counterpart Thor, Beta has no qualms about cutting lose his power. He faced Galactus himself, starving out the cosmic being by destroying all the nearby planets, and even slaying one of his most powerful heralds, Stardust.
If these two were to clash, it would be an epic battle, but there is one factor that ends this fight with relative ease, and that is the fact that Stormbreaker can absorb any form of energy, rendering Sinestro’s ring useless. It isn’t a complete blowout, however, as Sinestro’s cunning and raw power may even be enough to separate Stormbreaker from the horse-faced cyborg, but it is unlikely due to Bill’s unforgiving intensity.
