Silver Surfer vs Dr. Manhattan vs Captain Atomsubmitted by christiancasablancas and flannelsandjeans
One granted powers from a cosmic entity, one a byproduct of nuclear physics experimentation, and one atomized inside a prototype inter-dimensional vehicle and granted nuclear powers; these three mysterious beings are known for their distant, almost detached nature, and their quiet yet intense personas. They are very similar in both their appearances and powersets; all three having more than just light speeds, teleportation, strength, and energy blasts. They can also manipulate matter on a molecular scale, but Silver has vast levels of telepathy, D Man can create duplicates of himself, and Captain Atom can absorb theoretically infinite amounts of energy.I once did a showdown between SS and CA and gave the victory to Norrin due to his telepathic advantage, but it was only an edge, not a complete blowout, and with Manhattan in the mix, things get different. I am still absolutely sure that the Silver Surfer is still the most powerful of the three, having not only cosmic feats to match Atom’s, but the speed, strength, telepathy, and energy to get an edge on his opponents, but there is a factor that turns this showdown on its head, and that’s the curious case of Dr. Manhattan.Having only been in one story arc there isn’t much in terms of feats or power levels, but what is shown demands a recount. After complete destruction, D-Man is shown to have the ability to reassemble himself unharmed, and he has claimed that nothing can kill him. Furthermore, Manhattan doesn’t perceive time as it flows, but rather as a whole, meaning he gets a sort of automatic prep-time as soon as the match begins, unless he saw and accepted his demise by the hands of Captain Atom, who is although less experienced, is more powerful. It is extremely difficult to say, given Captain Atom’s energy absorption and Dr. Manhattan’s inability to be truly destroyed, but I feel that Silver Surfer has the slight edge in using telepathy against Captain Atom, and possibly overwhelming D-Man with energy.  Manhattan may be outclassed in terms of power, but it’s his foresight and his unmatched finesse in matter manipulation that make him a threat.Silver Surfer: 45/100Captain Atom: 35/100Dr. Manhattan: 20/100

They can also manipulate matter on a molecular scale, but Silver has vast levels of telepathy, D Man can create duplicates of himself, and Captain Atom can absorb theoretically infinite amounts of energy.

I once did a showdown between SS and CA and gave the victory to Norrin due to his telepathic advantage, but it was only an edge, not a complete blowout, and with Manhattan in the mix, things get different.

Manhattan.

Having only been in one story arc there isn’t much in terms of feats or power levels, but what is shown demands a recount.

Manhattan may be outclassed in terms of power, but it’s his foresight and his unmatched finesse in matter manipulation that make him a threat.

Silver Surfer: 45/100
Captain Atom: 35/100
Dr. Manhattan: 20/100
